Sophie Partridge-Hicks

Sophie Partridge-Hicks is a senior at Fordham University in New York City majoring in Anthropology and Middle Eastern Studies and minoring in Journalism. She is the Editor-in-Chief of Fordham’s newspaper The Observer and recently worked at Global Citizen reporting on topics related to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. She is currently interning at the International Rescue Committee and completing research on the role of western fast fashion brands in defining beauty standards in Dubai. Sophie is interested in gender issues, the refugee community, and Middle Eastern politics and hopes to use writing as a way to champion humanitarian issues.
