Hanane Idihoum

Hanane is a senior at St. Olaf College majoring in Sociology/Anthropology and Race and Ethnic Studies with a concentration in Film Studies. They are interested in various fields of thought including, but not limited to Marxist and class analysis, decolonial theory, and queer theory. Hanane has worked on independent research projects tackling topics like Amazigh Identities in the wake of pan-Arab nationalism and rising neoliberalism in Morocco. They are currently researching the scene of queer activism in Morocco, with a focus on class injustice and the hegemony of Western queer identities.
